Anglicans from Brazil join the SEC’s online worship for the Eighth Sunday of Pentecost

The Most Rev Mark Strange, Primus of the Scottish Episopcal Church, leads a Celebration of the Eucharist from St John’s, Arpafeelie.

Highlighting the strong links between the Scottish Episcopal Church and the Anglican Episcopal Church of Brazil (Igreja Episcopal Anglicana do Brasil), Bishop Mark is joined by the Primate of the IEAB, the Most Rev Naudal Gomes who will give the Sermon.

The intercessions are led by members of the IEAB: Yarana Borges, from the Diocese of Pelotas; the Rev Magda Guedes – Secretary General of the IEAB and Coadjutor Bishop-elect for Diocese of Curitiba; Mary Joyce from the Diocese of Amazonia; and Tiago Luddu from the Diocese of Rio de Janeiro.

The readers and Gospeller are the Rev Ellie Charman, Elspeth MacPherson, and Neil Thompson, from St Peter and the Holy Rood, Thurso and St John’s, Wick.

Children’s Chapel

The Children’s Chapel team are taking a break for the school holidays.  Children’s chapel will return in August.

In addition to the online resources, there is a telephone service to allow those who do not have internet access to listen to the service of worship by telephone. The facility is free of charge for anyone calling by landline or mobile phone from within the UK. It will be helpful if those who have online access to worship continue to use that method rather than using the telephone line, to avoid unnecessary additional cost incurred by the GSO, and we would also appreciate help in reaching non-internet users who are unable to see this information.

Anyone who would like full details of how to access the telephone line, in order to share them with someone who needs this service should email AidanS@scotland.anglican.org.

Subtitles are available on both platforms, if selected by the user. Look for the CC icon at the bottom of the display screen on YouTube; on Facebook, go to Settings, then Video, then select Always Show Captions.
