On Saturday September 25, the Scottish Episcopal Institute (SEI) are holding an online panel discussion with four members of the clergy from the Scottish Episcopal Church, all in pastoral ministry, who will offer their theological reflections on online Eucharists. This follows the production – during the Covid-19 pandemic and the restrictions on gathering in person – of an ongoing series of online Eucharists and a reflection on worship during lockdown by the College of Bishops.
The SEI reports that: “The panellists are the Rev Eleanor Charman, the Rev Dr Alasdair Coles, the Very Rev Kelvin Holdsworth and the Rev Dr Stephen Mark Holmes. Each of whom will craft a short paper in anticipation of the discussion a fortnight in advance to allow participants to read them and prepare questions.
“The discussion will include a 10-minute presentation from each panellist, a plenary with them all and, finally, a Q&A session.”
Registration for the event is free and open to all. You can register via Eventbrite, an online ticketing platform, here. The short papers produced by the panellists will be sent to registrants in due course.
