The Advisory Group of the Scottish Episcopal Church has issued a further update on Covid regulations and restrictions.
Following the announcement by the First Minister on Tuesday this week that more restrictions are to come in after Christmas, an e-mail was sent by the Advisory Group to Clergy, Lay Readers, Vestry Secretaries and Diocesan Secretaries to clarify concerns that had been raised over limits placed on “live public events”, as well as highlighting increased encouragement for social distancing in places of worship and detailing further protections to be applied in hospitality settings.
The e-mail may also be of interest to the wider Church, and it can be accessed by clicking here.
Earlier this week, the College of Bishops issued a pastoral letter as part of its continued support and guidance for all of the churches of the Scottish Episcopal Church during the pandemic. The letter appears here. The Advisory Group of the SEC also issued an updated version of its Frequently Asked Questions document. It can be found here.
