The Rt Revd Kevin Pearson, Bishop of the United Diocese of Glasgow and Galloway, is pleased to announce the appointment of the Rev Alison Hudson as Priest-in-Charge of St Mary’s, Gatehouse of Fleet and Greyfriars, Kirkcudbright. The date of her licensing will be announced in due course.
Alison says, “I am thrilled to have been appointed Priest-in-Charge of these warm and welcoming church communities in such a beautiful part of Galloway. Each of the charges has a strong worshipping heartbeat which will lead us forward, as we prayerfully envision our new season together. Simon and I are looking forward to getting to know the people and life of Kirkcudbright and Gatehouse of Fleet.”
Alison comes to the Diocese from Staffordshire where she has been serving in the Canterbury Province of the Church of England.
Bishop Kevin says, “We are delighted to be able to welcome Alison into the Diocese of Glasgow and Galloway following a distinguished ministry in the Church of England. Her innate humanity and passion for the Gospel is self-evident and her dedication to the life of prayer will help St Mary’s, Gatehouse of Fleet and Greyfriars, Kirkcudbright connect their spiritual growth with outreach to the communities in which they serve. It will be very exciting to see what this new chapter of ministry and mission opens up for the two charges in the coming months.”
Please pray for Alison and her husband Simon as they prepare to move to Kirkcudbright and Gatehouse of Fleet during the coming months.
