St John’s, Annan Closure Announcement

St John’s Scottish Episcopal Church, Annan will close on Sunday 28 July at 3pm.

To celebrate the ministry of the Scottish Episcopal Church in Annan throughout the life of the congregation, a closing service will take place at 3pm on Sunday 28 July at St John’s (St John’s Road, Annan, DG12 6AW).

The Bishop of Glasgow and Galloway, the Rt Rev Kevin Pearson, will lead this service of Thanksgiving for the life and ministry of St John’s. All who have had a connection with St John’s are welcome to attend.

The church building was consecrated in 1843 after many years of Episcopal ministry in Annan having taken place in the Victoria Hotel.

The future use of the church site will be determined in due course by the Diocesan Council and the Property Committee. Any queries about the charge or church site should be directed to the United Diocese of Glasgow and Galloway: office@glasgow.anglican.org
