The Provincial Youth Week (Yeek) organisers have today (7 November) opened the application process seeking leaders for the 2025 week, which will take place between Sat 26 July and 2 August 2025 in Perthshire.
They are seeking people who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people within the church and who have the skills, energy, and empathy to support others on their faith journey.
Yeek is the Scottish Episcopal Church’s summer youth week, and it needs leaders ready to inspire, support, and grow alongside its young delegates.
The application process notes that those selected will form a team that will work together to deliver a fantastic youth week for the delegates. Each year the team is chosen to reflect the skills, abilities and knowledges needed for each particular camp.
Applicants should have a desire to recognise and celebrate young people’s place in the Scottish Episcopal Church as well as experience of working with young people, empathy, a commitment to being inclusive, and a commitment to working within SEC guidelines for protection of vulnerable persons and the frameworks of the camp.
Special requests are also made for applicants with a valid recognised qualification as lifeguards, first aiders, and applicants with experience in health and safety, AV, live sound & lights, and photography.
The application form can be found here, and there is a hard deadline of 12:00 noon on Wednesday 4th December. Please do not send in applications after this as they will not be included.
