The Rt Rev Dr Nicholas Bundock, Bishop of the United Diocese of Glasgow and Galloway, is pleased to announce the appointment of the Rev Dawn Matthew as Canon Missioner. Her starting date, along with the arrangements for her installation at St Mary’s Cathedral, Glasgow, will be announced in due course.
Dawn says, “I am very much looking forward to taking up this exciting post and having the opportunity to work more closely with our wonderful congregations. I will be sad to be moving on from St Margaret’s, New Galloway and All Saints, Challoch, but I am so thankful for their support and care in the time I have been in this Diocese.”
Bishop Nick says, “I’m delighted with this appointment, it feels right on so many levels and is a clear affirmation of Dawn’s significant ministerial gifts. The Canon Missioner post is a direct investment in the health, wellbeing and future growth of our faithful congregations and I can’t wait to welcome Dawn into this post.”
We lift Dawn and her family in our prayers as they prepare for this new chapter.
