As the Covid death toll in the UK passes the 100,000 mark, the College of Bishops of the Scottish Episcopal Church has asked for prayers for all those who have suffered during the pandemic.
The Archbishops of Canterbury and York have also issued a call for England to pause and reflect, to remember those who have died and all those who know and love them.
“Please hold in prayer the families of those across the UK who have lost their lives during the Covid pandemic, now numbering over 100,000,” said The Most Rev Mark Strange, Primus, on behalf of the College of Bishops.
“We give thanks to the Archbishops of Canterbury and York for joining us in our regular and daily prayers for the sick and those who have lost loved ones.
“Please also this evening pray for those who are sitting with the dying.”
