New edition of Inspires Online now available

The latest edition of Inspires Online, the monthly magazine of the Scottish Episcopal Church, is now available.

The new edition headlines on the election of a new bishop in the Diocese of Argyll & The Isles, with the Rev Canon Dr Keith Riglin set to succeed the Rt Rev Kevin Pearson, who is now Bishop of Glasgow & Galloway.

There is also a report from Provincial Welcome Day, which went ahead via Zoom last week to allow clergy who have recently been ordained or joined the Scottish Episcopal Church from elsewhere, and new Lay Readers, to get to know each other and meet some of the General Synod staff.

Inspires also carries an update on provincial worship broadcasts, including the successful introduction of worship for younger children, plans for Holy Week and the return of the SEC Virtual Choir.

Other featured items include a media round-up headlining on Bishop Andrew Swift’s recent ‘Credo’ column, news of Global Partnership Committee support in Gaza, Rev David Coleman on his role as Environmental Chaplain, a Lent reflection from the Rev Dr Michael Hull, a variety of recent news items, forthcoming events, and reports from Standing Committee and Mission Board.
