St Mary’s, Hamilton Shortlisted for Church & Community Volunteer Award

We are delighted to announce that St Mary’s, Hamilton has been selected as a finalist in the Scotland category of the National Churches Trust’s Church & Community Volunteer Awards.

This recognition is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the congregation, passionate volunteers, community groups and users.

St Mary’s has a café run by locals, bringing people into the church and the facilities, to experience a safe and inclusive environment. This is promoted by the church and St Mary’s for All, through social media posts, banners and events.

The Church & Community Volunteer Awards are run in partnership with the Marsh Charitable Trust. These awards celebrate the vital contribution which volunteers make to both looking after and making best use of churches to benefit local communities and people.

Out of seven Scottish nominees in four categories, St Mary’s is the only Scottish Episcopal Church this year. Good luck to all nominated!

The winners will be announced on 22 October 2024, 2pm-3.30pm via livestream available with free tickets, here: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/national-church-awards-livestream-tickets-1030970820477
