Vice-Provost to Lead Acts of Worship on BBC Radio Scotland

The Rev Canon Sarah Shaw, Vice-Provost of St Mary’s Cathedral, Glasgow will lead four acts of worship on BBC Radio Scotland’s New Every Sunday programme, beginning on 29 June at 7am.

Commenting, Canon Sarah said: “I’m excited to be presenting New Every Sunday on BBC Radio Scotland over the next four weeks. The series is a fantastic opportunity to share worship widely across Scotland. I was asked to incorporate themes into each service, and found I had to look no further than the lectionary: a gift to the preacher!”

The programme, which consists of specially recorded acts of worship from different churches around Scotland, is broadcast at 7am on Sunday mornings and features a short act of worship including readings, hymns, music and reflections. The Vice-Provost’s contributions are on the following themes:
29 June – Following Jesus
6 July – God’s provision
13 July – Loving our neighbour
20 July – Attentiveness to God
