Glenalmond Provincial Youth Camp 2018 – Yesterday, Today and Forever

Last week young people from across the Scottish Episcopal Church attended this year’s annual Provincial Youth Week at Glenalmond College.  The camp ran from 22 to 28 July. The theme of this year’s Youth Week was ‘Yesterday, Today and Forever’ and it offered a week of fun, fellowship, learning and sharing. Consecration dates announced for new Bishops

The Very Rev Andrew Swift will be consecrated and installed as the new Bishop of Brechin in St Paul’s Cathedral, Dundee on Saturday 25 August. The Rev Canon Ian Paton will be consecrated and installed as the new Bishop of St Andrews, Dunkeld & Dunblane in St Ninian’s Cathedral, Perth on Saturday 20 October.

Synod 2018

The Diocesan Synod took place in the Howard Centre, Kilmarnock on Saturday 12 May, having been postponed from its usual March date due to the ”Beast from the East”.  This may have accounted for the slightly reduced attendance.
